The MOMS Club of Bellevue is a local chapter of a worldwide nonprofit organization whose purpose is to provide support to moms, their children, and their community. With the holidays fast approaching the MOMS Club of Bellevue has decided to support moms in our community in another way; by giving them an outlet for showcasing their hard work and wares.
On Friday December 9th from 4-8pm members of the community have the chance to do some holiday shopping while also supporting our local “mompreneurs.” HopePark Church has opened its’ doors to the MOMS Club, to our mom bosses, and to the community for the first ever “Mompreneur Holiday Market.” Shop unique, one of a kind gifts, support our hard working moms in all the business adventures that they embark on, and know that when you shop local at the Mompreneur Holiday Market you are not only supporting someone’s dream, you are helping them to provide for their children this holiday season.
Mom, is there anything that she doesn’t do? She cooks, she cleans, she tends to the children; she manages the household and is the keeper of important family dates. She is on the PTA, she is on the sidelines of every game; she is protection from things that go bump on the night and heals boo-boos with her magical kisses. And sometimes she has even gone a step further and has become her own boss. That’s right, moms all over America are taking on work in a whole new way, they are starting their own businesses.
Did you know that 1 in every 3 small business owners in this country is a mom?! Bellevue moms are certainly following that trend. All you need to do is hop on Facebook on a Saturday to see that is the case. We are a community filled with talent of all kinds. And it’s not just the direct sales marketing that moms have taken to, although that is a great way for moms to become their own boss as well! We have moms who sew and who craft, moms who provide services for the community, shop owners and yoga studios, and the list keeps on going. All over Bellevue moms have found a passion for something and they are taking the risk, putting themselves out there, and trying to help get their family ahead through small business ownership.
Plus…the MOMS Club of Bellevue is excited that by working with HopePark Church they are able to donate ALL vendor fees to Nashville’s Family Reconciliation Center, a local organization that “restores families and communities impacted by incarceration by promoting family unification and health programs to strengthen the family unit as a whole and reduce inter-generational incarceration.” Monetary donations to this great Nashville based organization will also be collected at the Holiday Market.
So mark your calendars and on Friday December 9th come together as a community to support your local mompreneurs as you find unique gifts for the whole family at the first ever Mompreneur Holiday Market!
